This page explains what personal information Pit Lane Mobile Tyres collects when you get in touch, why we hold it, and what your rights are. We keep it deliberately short and plain.
Who we are
Pit Lane Mobile Tyres is a mobile tyre-fitting business based in Blackwood, South Wales. For anything about your information, contact us on 07955 394341. We are the “data controller” for the information described here.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to give you a quote and carry out the work:
- Your name and phone number.
- Your vehicle registration and tyre size.
- The address or location where you want the work done.
- Anything else you choose to tell us about the job (for example, “flat on the front nearside”).
You give us this yourself when you call us, send a WhatsApp message or text us. We do not buy data about you or collect it from anywhere else.
Why we hold it, and for how long
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, give you a price, arrange a time and complete the fitting — and to keep a basic record of the work in case you contact us about it later. The lawful bases we rely on are taking steps to enter into a contract with you and our legitimate interest in running the business and keeping proper records.
We keep enquiry messages and job records for up to 6 years (to cover tax records and any warranty or dispute), then delete them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. We only pass on details where we have to in order to do the job or meet the law — for example a tyre supplier (your tyre size, not your name), or our accountant and HMRC for tax. WhatsApp messages are carried by Meta Platforms under their own terms.
Cookies and this website
This website sets no cookies — nothing for tracking, nothing for advertising — so there is no cookie banner to click through.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see basic, anonymous visitor numbers (page views, rough country, which pages are popular, how fast the site loads). It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect anything that identifies you personally. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which sends your device’s IP address to Google to deliver the font files. The “Call” and “WhatsApp” buttons simply open your phone’s own dialler or WhatsApp app.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just call or message us. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date at the top.
